If you're wondering if your child might need physical therapy, please plan on reserving a time for this FREE pediatric screen day. This screen is for kids ages 0-18. 
Your child might want to try pediatric physical therapy if they have:
*Delayed Milestones - Is your infant behind in rolling, sitting, crawling, standing, walking?
*Delayed Coordination - Does your child struggle with motor coordination or sports activities like jumping, catching, running, or skipping? 
* Walking Difficulties or Deficits - Does your child trip or fall often?Can your child walk for long distances without rest? 
* Musculoskeletal diagnoses - Does your child suffer from cerebral palsy, spina bifida, TBI, Down Syndrome, or a simalar diagnosis?

for September 27, 2017 from 4 p.m - 5:30 p.m. at our Oskaloosa facility located
at 1202 South 7th Street. Hy-Vee will provide catering services during the
event, while our second shift employees perform their weekly tasks. I look

Rotary Great Annual Barbecue will be held on Thursday, September 28th. Tickets can be purchased from any Rotary member for $11 each. Menu includes a 6 oz. smoked pork chop, baked potato, sunshine broccoli salad and fresh roll. Bethesda House is hosting a concert with Jeff & April (Nye) Davis of Captivated Praise on the square in downtown Oskaloosa. April is a song writer and seasoned worship leader having worked with some of the greatest ministers in the world, including the late R.W. Schambach. William Penn University Musco Technology Center
Leaders Speak Series.  An annual initiative that reaches out to the community with diverse leadership based themes.  This year's them is Ignite which focuses on envouraging individuals to find and pursue their passions in life.  Speakers will be presenting in the Musco Technology Center at William Penn University at 6 pm.  All presentations are free and open to the public.

Andy Clark, Oskaloosa Music Historian and President of C.L. Barnhouse Company  will be presenting "The Incredible Music Heritage of Oskaloosa" on Thursday, October 26th.  Clark has extensive knowledge about the famous musicians from the Oskaloosa area and the successes of the City Band.  His presentation will cover how musicians
from a southeastern Iowa town made a global impact on the music community.

Iowa Honey Producers Association Annual Meeting
Gateway Church of the Nazarene
What's the buzz?  A swarm of 300+ beekeepers from the Iowa Honey Producers Association will land in Oskaloosa for their annual meeting and convention on Friday and Saturday, November 10 and 11.  The event will take place at the Gateway Church of the Nazarene and  feature keynote speakers Dr. Dennis VanEngeldorp from the University of Maryland, Dr. Marion Ellis from the University of Nebraska and Rhonda Fleming Hayes of Minnesota.  Highlights will include the crowning of the 2018 Iowa Honey Queen, cooking and photography contests, silent and live auctions, honey swap, a banquet showcasing the selection of youth scholarship recipients and awards presentation, and a wide variety of bee-related vendors will be on hand to round out this sweet event.  Registration, costs and event information available on the website: www.iowahoneyproducers.org

Event Starts at noon with a Holiday Market and a Festival of Trees Silent Auction in the Penn Central Mall. From 4-6 pm will also include gospel music, children's activities, train rides, Santa and Friends, and more. Gospel music will continue to 6:30 pm . Go to the square for the magnificent PAINTING WITH LIGHTS at 7 pm followed immediately by the Main Street Lighted Christmas Parade, "30 years of Christmas". Return to the warmth of the Mall after the parade for more gospel music (sponsored by Bank Iowa) at 8:30 pm Parade awards and tree auction results are set for 9:30 pm in the mall following the concert.

Clete Hjorth, Oskaloosa Hy-Vee store Director will be presenting "Hy-Vee: Working Towards a Sustainable Future" on Thursday, November 30th.  Hjorth has worked with Hy-Vee for 21 years and will be sharing about the company's goal of continuing their proactive approach to preserving the environment. This presentation will cover various different sustainable programs that have been implemented at the Oskaloosa store and the successes it has seen in the community.
