Southern Iowa Speedway

cars racing Beginning in April, the Southern Iowa Speedway comes alive each Wednesday night with the sound of racing cars. IMCA Modified, Stock and Hobbies participate as they race for the checkered flag.

The Southern Iowa Speedway features a half-mile, semi-banked oval dirt race track and grandstand seating for about 3,000 race fans. The drivers of sprint cars, stock cars, modified and hobby stocks compete on Wednesday evenings for cash prizes and the glory of crossing the finish line under a waving checkered flag.

Oskaloosa is in the center of Iowa racing action as drivers also compete in nearby communities such as Eddyville, Knoxville, and the Iowa Speedway in Newton.
