Oskaloosa Historical Building Markers
Located within our Main Street District is the Oskaloosa City Square Commercial Historic District, a 9.8-acre historic district that includes early commercial, Italianate, and Romanesque Revival architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Project Information: The Historical Building Markers Project is a community-based volunteer venture approved by the Oskaloosa Historical Preservation Commission in September of 2017. It is a work in progress.
Currently, local historians are researching the initially targeted buildings listed below. Future plans for the project include brass and bond board markers for each building.
