A new resident of Iowa must immediately obtain an Iowa Driver’s License and surrender any driver’s license issued by another state and pass the Iowa vision test and written examination within 30 days. The local office is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Car driving tests are M-W-F from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Motorcycle driving test is (by appt. only) Thursday 8:30 a.m.
